Grocery, Drug and Superstore Coupon Policies

There is no published coupon policy on the Foodland website so I contacted them to ask my standard coupon policy questions.  This is their response.  (7/14/10)

Q. Do you accept other store coupons?
We do not accept other store coupons.

Q. Do you have a price matching policy and if so, can you give me the details? 
Currently, we do not have a price matching policy.

Q. Do you allow your store coupons to be stacked with a manufacturer coupon on a single item? (Unless the coupon says DND of course) 
Yes, we do apply the store coupons to the items purchased plus the manufacturer’s coupon.

Q. If I am buying something with a BOGO coupon, can I use a cents off coupon on the other item? 
Yes, you can use your manufacturer’s coupon for the other item.

Q. Do you ever have double or triple coupon events? 
We do not have double or triple coupon events.

Q. Do you accept expired coupons? If so, up to how many days? 
We do not accept expired coupons.

Q. Will your registers allow more than one of the same store coupon in one transaction? (For instance if I have a store coupon for chips, can I use two or more of them in one transaction or do I need to break it up into separate transactions?

Our store coupons are electronic, so it’s based on the items purchased.  If you buy two bags of chips, the system will automatically deduct the store coupon value from the price (Store coupons are not paper).  Exception:  If you wanted 8 bags of chips but the limit is 4, then you will need to checkout with 4 in one transaction and 4 in a separate transaction.

Q. Do you accept internet printed coupons? 
We do accept internet coupons.

Q. Is there a coupon limit?
There are limitations on the type of internet coupons accepted. 
We do not accept those identified for “free item” or “requiring no purchase”.
The dollar limit is up to $5.00 in value.

Q. Is there anything else that I need to know about shopping at your store using coupons? 
By utilizing your coupons, our weekly advertisements, our Foodland website and our loyalty program (Maika`i) – a watchful consumer can save hundreds of dollars by planning carefully, and shopping at the right time to maximize their savings.
